A Mad Takeover of Decency
March 27, 2007

Diplo and his Mad Decent Army are planning a takeover in 2007. His first artist, Bonde Do Role signed to Domino Records (same label for the ever popular Arcade Fire) and will have a full length release sometime this spring/summer. Signed DJ Blaqstarr who now has an EP out. He is working with the South Rakkas Crew out of Florida, and Buraka Som Sistema did a remix for Bonde Do Role’s Gasolina track. His ever popular Hollertronix 12″s keep continuing. Not to mention he has a documentary on Baile Funk called Favela on Blast set to be released this year. Plus he had time to help with production on the New MIA album along with Switch. And somewhere in there he is working on his own material. Don’t forget his educational Podcast too.
Diplo Your Head
The Rhythm Lab was fortunate to sit down and talk to Diplo and Bonde Do Role when the came to the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis last July. This was the first time I did an interview on a tour bus (you can definitely tell). Diplo’s Myspace Page | Mad Decent Myspace Page
