Iceland in the Spring

Flowers are blooming, birds are singing (maybe not in the midwest yet, thanks Canada), and Bjork is releasing a new album entitled Volta. She is also kicking off her mini tour at this year’s Coachella. Her new single Earth Intruders comes out tomorrow and she had a little help my some producer by name of Timbaland (who apparently has just dropped an album as well). The first time I hear that voice was about 15 years ago when she was with the Sugarcubes. The track was Birthday. That is still a sick track.

Y’all really got a check out this artist named Kissey Asplund from Malome, Sweden. We found about her on myspace. A Beautiful, sensual voice. Go check out her myspace page to hear more of her music. We have been bumping some of her music on our show. It is definitley on that futuristic soul tip. I really hate comparing people, but she kind of reminds me a little like Badu. She is like the Yin to Badu’s Yang. Production from Suff Daddy and Bless 1 on ‘End of Date’ , ‘99 Bottles’and ‘Ya Mama’
